Concordia was a lead partner of a major multi-disciplinary team that was selected by the State of Louisiana Department of Education to develop a Master Plan for redevelopment of the public school facilities in New Orleans. The scope of work included analyzing all aspects of assessment, renovation and reconstruction of the public school facilities in Orleans Parish.
The master planning team delineated long term plans and implementation schedules for all school facilities. Concordia assisted the Orleans Parish School Board and the Recovery School District in creating a Facilities Master Plan which is being used to guide future school construction and renovation. The master planning team helped develop standards for educational suitability by school type, conducted a facilities condition and cost assessment, provided a life cycle capital renewal forecast to provide a basis for maintenance and operations planning for the next ten years, prepared a facilities master plan incorporating the recommendations of previous planning processes and conducted Community Engagement workshops throughout the master planning process.
