Brittney Everett Presented Paper
Brittney presented her paper entitled Katrina the Seam[STRESS]: Rebuilding Through Flood Architecture at the ACSA Annual Meeting at Tulane University March 4-7, 2010. The paper explores flood architecture as a conceptual prototype for the re-thinking and re-use of abandoned, contentious border zones in New Orleans. It offers a design methodology and theoretical proposal whose socially attractive and culturally rich food program formulates pluralistic public space.
